Embark on a journey from Nordvegen History Centre, through a beautiful cultural landscape, where wild sheep roam among Viking Age ruins. Follow winding paths to the Viking Farm, located on a small island. The last part of the journey takes you through a serene forest, and as you reach the edge of the trees, the Viking Farm reveals itself like a glimpse into the past.
At the Viking farm, you are taken 1000 years back in time. Here you will find a longhouse, a leidang boathouse, a roundhouse, and several other smaller buildings that bring history to life. Outside the actual Viking farm, there are several hiking trails through the forest, offering a peaceful escape into nature. During the summer, the Viking farm welcomes visitors, while during the school year, the farm is used as a historical camp school. The farm also hosts guided tours and Viking feasts. And every June, we organize Western Norway's largest Viking festival.

Discover how the Vikings lived. We offer guided tours led by the lady of the house or the master of the house every day.
Norwegian tours at 11:30 AM and at 2:00 PM.
English tours at 12:30 PM, 1:30 PM, 2:30 PM, and 3:30 PM
Groups (minimum 20 pax), can also book a guided tour year - round.
When the Viking farm is open during the summer season, you can, in additon to the guided tours, try your hand at various activities. Test your skills with traditional Viking games or take on the challenge of archery and learn to shoot with a bow and arrow like a true Viking.
For children we offer "Fun for Children" , an engaging activity booklet filled with tasks that encourage exploration with a little help from an adult.
Families can also embark on "The Viking Hunt" , a fun- filled quest to uncover a secret sentance. To solve the puzzle, you'll need to follow a route through Nordvegen History Centre, St. Olav's Church, and the Viking Farm.
